Changes - new job prospect - new cell phone

Hi, Hope all is well with everyone.

I have a few changes coming up.

Although I still have issues with my foot/ankle, I asked for a work release so I can go back to work. I'm almost out of money & need to take care of myself! So I'm allowed to go back to work, with restrictions.

I have an interview tomorrow. Kind of anxious to see what the job entails. It'll be working with the school district with their after school program. Part time, which is actually ok with me for now anyhow. Anything is better than nothing. Plus this will allow me to concentrate on building a website more anyhow. I've set up more of my jewelry on my jewelry blog, but I really want to build a website for it. The blogger page gives me an idea of what I want of it though.

And I like the after school thing because that means I won't have to get up at dark thirty in the morning every morning! I'd have to get up super, super early to take care of my dogs before I went to work. This way, I can work out a better schedule for them & myself.

Also decided on a new phone! Went to Sprint today & played with it. It was FUN!!!
So this is what I decided on:

Click here to learn more & look at the phone if you wish.

I wanted a new phone that was faster, better & Android based. A slider with a physical qwerty keyboard. My phone dropped the face book app around a year ago, which sucked. Although I don't play FB often, it wasn't available to me through my current phone anymore. I could not even get to it through the web on my phone. I'd get error warnings instead. And I want to be able to read blogger from my phone too! So I think this phone will fit the bill. They are like little mini computers now. Amazing!

And I can add apps as I need them. My current phone isn't a full smart phone, so can't add any apps to it. Plus it just LOVES to call people randomly! Hate that. One time it called an old employer while I was in the kennel yelling at one of the dogs that was being naughty. Embarassing!!

Plus it would be nice to be able to get more than just 25 emails at a time & be able to go back & forth through the emails. Can't do that on my current phone. So anyhow, enough about all this - but I can't wait till it comes in! Best Buy has it for $100 less than Sprint does, so it's getting ordered through BB, but will still go into my Sprint account. Not a bad deal!

And it'll be nice to be networked without having to turn the computer on all the time. Especially when traveling.

Oh & if I get this job, I'll be able to get that generator fixed & those two new tires. At least then, I could look forward to some weekend trips!

~As always, be kind to your pets, clean up after them on your travels & respect your neighbor~

  1. That looks like a good phone. I got the Photon last year and am still very happy with it. I can't get 4G very often but the phone has lots of power and does good so if they just added to it, you should like it a lot. There are enuf apps now that it finally functions as well as my old PDA. Good luck on the job interview.

    1. Thanks Mary, I don't expect to get 4G here either. I have an aircard for my computer & it never finds it. But the phone will still be a big improvement over my current one!

    1. I think I would, but not sure. But I think so. I think it's an after school program that involves the students.

  5. Glad to hear you got that work release. You can work around your foot/ankle issues. After breaking my ankle I went back to work in a wheel chair. Not fun but it worked. Good luck with the interview. New phone sounds wonderful.

    1. The interview went well, so now it's wait & see. This job doesn't look like it'll be taxing on the foot, so that's a good thing! CAn't wait to get the new phone.

  7. I know you will do fine at the interview. The new phone sounds very involved. I know I will be needing a new one soon but I don't like all that stuff. The last time I looked at the phones they didn't even have the one I am now using. :(P

    1. Thanks JoJo. The phone is like a little mini computer. I think it will be fun. Especially when I'm in my friends house in the eves. They can watch the tv programs that I really don't like & I can read email & such on the phone.

  8. Sounds as if things are really looking up, so glad for you. Wishing you well on the interview/job. Phones? eeek, lets all just put headsets on and use our laptops LOL... phones really confuse me, so small, (I can barely see them, much less the keyboards) :)
Anywho, have a great day and continue taking care of that foot/ankle.

  9. Good luck with the job.
Sprint doesn't have good coverage here in Texas. At Lake Whitney,TX you won't get signal. My daughter has Boost, which is Sprint, she can't call me when she is here, can't call her boyfriend either in Hillsboro, about 11 miles away. I have Verizon,no problems ever.

    1. Thanks girl. I've had sprint since the 80's & generally don't have a problem. but lately, traveling has come to a halt anyhow. Sprint was VERY GOOD to us after two hurricane evacuations! They picked up the bill both times when I got overwhelmed with texts. Both times I didn't have unlimited texting & got over 200 text messages! So I'll be under another 2 year contract with them.

  10. We all need to stop every once in a while and re-group and make a little money! I don't have a smart phone but I can see they will be the way of the future as far as computers go. As long as I can text I am happy for now.
