Beautiful Day

It's been a beautiful day here today.

I could not stand it, I just had to take my bike for a ride!

So off for an evening ride I went.

Saw the cutest thing ever. 2 adults and 1 little girl on horseback. Adults on big horses, child on a small white pony. Adorable!! Could not get a pic though. Darn.

Then I rode past the pony farm, they have parties on the weekends. Lots of folks playing on the little puttputt range, playing with the ponies and mini donkeys.

Then I rode past a house, they were flying kites.

Then I  spotted this beautiful sunset:

OK, going to close this post now. The phone and Blogger are having an issue.

I hope ya'll are also having a beautiful day!

Good deal on 30amp cord! And more things

Hi, hope all is well with everyone!

Welcome to Gay & Joe  of Good times Rollin! They just finished their first year as fulltimers, I'm so glad they are joined up with my blog now. They have 4 canine companions, so how could I miss that!

And welcome to w6pea! I don't have any blog url for you, so if you have one, please share. That's some cute little doggie on your profile!

Now onto business...Camping World has 30amp 25' extension cords on sale through the 27th of this month!

I rushed over & bought one. I'm not too far from a CW, so it was a real treat to save $$ & be able to drive over to fetch one.

Sale price $22.99  - regular price $49something. So that's a nice savings! And they made a mistake.

Instead of placing their sale items where you'd have to browse the store, they placed them at the front of the store!

Therefore, they saved me more $$$ because I didn't browse the store for temptations!

CW to me is like an RV candy store. Hard to resist some things.

Whew! Thanks CW!

I love gizmos.

I love gadgets.

I found this neat little gadget at Big Lots.

No, I don't have a tablet. I don't have an ipad. I don't have any of those things....

B-u-t

What I do have is a cool smartphone that I have added apps on that are cool apps!

I have two different movie apps, so I can now set my phone on the stand on the back of my sofa & watch movies or some tv shows on it.

What a geek I can be  ;-)

So I finished my 30 days of the Chronic Pain Program.

We're still waiting for approval on further tests.

And I'm now using a cane. I hope this is VERY temporary!!! Actually, they haven't approved the issue of a cane yet either, so I'm using my trekking pole as one. It really does help. I'm amazed how much it helps, but again, I hope it's just temporary!

I'll finish this post with some purdy pics. I keep shooting purdy pics, but never seem to actually sit down to get them into the computer. A lot of my posts lately have been posted via cell phone.

So here are the pretties!

The two photos above are from the same sunrise from 1-11-13. As the sun rose, the rays reached out through the skies. It was simply beautiful!

Last nights sunset below:
I tried to zoom in on the hawk, but of course, could only get a black silhouette. So then when it flew off, I tried to catch it with my lens, but it flew too quickly. But I love the pink cover over the clouds in the distance. They look like mountains! It's pretty flat here, so I just pretend they are mountains.

Take care everyone!

Dog gone weekend

Hi, I Hope all is well with everyone.

I took Birdie out to a local dog show this weekend. Normally, I'd load everyone in the RV and off we'd go.

But the show was only about 20 mins away so we jumped in the van and off we went.

Yesterday wasn't great. She was just too full of herself and was just too silly, so only a 2nd place for her.

Today, she showed MUCH better. She won her class, but did  not bring home the points. Oh well, at least she performed well.

Below are pix of her relaxing ringside.
Blogger and my phone are having issues tonight..grrrr
so I'll cut tonights post short.

I should have walked around to take some pics of the amazing rigs at the show, but I tried to curtail my walking to a minium due to my foot and wearing the foot brace.

I'll have to do that in a future post.

Goals -- it's your future

“Our goals can be reached through a vehicle of plan, in which we must fervently believe, and upon which we must vigorously act. There is no route to success.” –Stephen A. Brennan

For those of you that want to aim for a goal for your future in RVing, van dwelling or whatever, I sat down today & wrote mine down. My lifes goals.

Short term goals & long term goals.

It was actually quite helpful to write it all down so I could gain a better perspective on my life as it is now & what I want it to become in the future.

You write down 3 short term goals on what you need to change in the immediate future. Be realistic & honest with yourself. Stay within your means.

Then write down 3 long term goals for the future. Again, keeping realistic & honest for what you want to strive for. Again, keeping within your means, but allowing bigger expectations.

Of course, I'm not asking anyone to share their goals. But I did find it helpful towards that feeling of breaking loose & realizing what I need to do to change things.

The signs are there...

You know you might live in an RV if:

1. When in a house, you look for the control panel to turn off things that aren't in use at the time. (such as water pump, water heater, etc)

2. When in a house, using the bathroom, you automatically look for a trash can for your used TP & your mind goes to "gotta fill the toilet with more water for flushing".

3. When in a house, washing dishes, you try to do them as you do in an RV. Fill the sink with a small amount of soap & water, wash each dish at a time, rinsing each dish at a time in order to fill the sink with more water for the bigger items.

4. When entering a house, you try to pull the front door out towards you like your RV entry door.

5. When in a house, you try to wash your hands as you do in your RV. Turn water on, get hands wet. Turn water off, soap up hands. Turn water back on to quickly rinse hands.

6. When in a house, you wonder where your cockpit seats are? (applies to motorized RV's).

7. When in a house taking a shower, you still try it military style.

8. When in a house, you think "oh, I have to turn off the a/c before I can use the microwave"...well, some houses are actually like that. ;-)

9. When in a house, you don't know if the television is located in a dining room cabinet or a living room cabinet? Turns out, neither places...they are in normal house places.

10: When in a house, you try to to light a stove that already has it's own pilot light or worse yet, electric by trying to find the pilot with a flame starter.

11. When in a house, you try to jack knife a solid standing sofa.

Feel free to add more -- this is kinda fun  ;-)

No one can say living in an RV is wasteful!!! Cept maybe at the gas tank....ouch.

Hello Kitty

Hello Kitty!

OK, so I've not been doing much lately. But I did finally manage some OK pics with my cell phone of my kitties when I was tending to them. That counts for doing something huh? The cell phone really doesn't take great pics, but the times I've taken my real camera in there, they don't seem to pose for it! So I guess they like sucky pics?

I'm back in therapy again, so my time has been wrapped up in that & the chores around here.

Wish the weather would behave.

I wait all year for good weather in hopes of removing the faded decals off my rig & it just doesn't seem to happen!

So anyhow, back to my kitties. They live in a climate controlled building here instead of my small RV. When I travel, then they get moved into the RV, but when stationery, they are in the building.

I'm doing a little back & forth on the computer to the cell phone. The pics are in my phone & I'm too lazy tonight to upload to the computer, edit & all that hullabaloo, so I'm going to create this blog using both forums! :-p

Soooo, here are my kitties:

Chynna
Buster- AKA : Puppy Cat
Tribbles

Reena

When I had to leave my house & move into my motorhome, everyone tried to force me to give these precious babies up. I refused to break up my little family! They actually like traveling with me when we get to travel. Funny how others want to persuade us how to live our lives isn't it?

Woohoo, I finally got this published! The cell phone & computer weren't very happy that I was cheating between them to make this post. Ha!

I'm still here & new welcomes

Welcome to Art & Tammy Fletcher! They've retired & have plans on fulltiming in 2013 - this year! It looks like they've already experienced camp hosting - way cool. Best of luck to ya'll.

Also welcome to Encourage One Another! This appears to be an inspirational blog site - happy to have ya'll along.

Not my puppies, a friends pups that I could not resist, so put those tiny clothes on them...heh

Not much has been happening my way.

I'm back in therapy for another 10 sessions.

Have finished 3 of them already.

I hope to be done with all this soon.

I've fallen way behind on my blog reading so I hope to get caught up soon!

I've fallen behind on many things lately, so I need to spend the next day or so trying to catch up!

Including laundry & cleaning....

Ellie & I are getting tired of sitting in this driveway & are longing for a camping trip, but we must be patient.

I guess....

It's been cold & raining mostly. Or overcast & gray.
Not much sun has been happening.

My new discovery of how the weather really effects me is astounding!
I have no energy on days like this & actually feel achy.
Achy to the point of deep pain due to tensing up when I have to be out in the cold.

And the clinic is freezing cold, so that doesn't help when I have to be there for about 8 hour days.
I do dress warm though, but we all still get cold there.

Tonight isn't so bad in the RV though. I have a snuggie I'm snuggled into, a blanket on top of that & the heater going. I'll soon turn on the electric blanket so when I go to bed, it'll be nice & warmed up.

The next few days will be in the 60's - I hope we get some sun with that!

How does the weather effect ya'll?

I've been thinking of everyone & hope all is well with everyone!
