I took Birdie out to a local dog show this weekend. Normally, I'd load everyone in the RV and off we'd go.
But the show was only about 20 mins away so we jumped in the van and off we went.
Yesterday wasn't great. She was just too full of herself and was just too silly, so only a 2nd place for her.
Today, she showed MUCH better. She won her class, but did not bring home the points. Oh well, at least she performed well.
Below are pix of her relaxing ringside.
Blogger and my phone are having issues tonight..grrrr
I should have walked around to take some pics of the amazing rigs at the show, but I tried to curtail my walking to a minium due to my foot and wearing the foot brace.
I'll have to do that in a future post.

Birdie is beautiful...
ReplyDeleteWe are Joe and Gay Taylor and have been living in our MH for the past 16 months with our 4 canine dependents. The 6 of us have had a great time traveling all around. We invite you to join good-times-rollin.blogspot.com and join in on our adventures. All our pups are rescue pups...not sure who rescued who...
We love people who love their pets...and have met so many wonderful folks at doggie parks.
Have a great week....
Oh, thanks for commenting. I'll definitely stop by!! Yes, some of them actually rescue us. Although I have show dogs, I always have a rescue or two in the mix as well. I'm fostering a Chi-weenie (Carlos) right now & I took in a Sharpei/pit mix (Wrinkles) several years back when I found her standing by my side in my driveway while loading my van for a dog show. I gave her the same birthday as 2 young dogs I have that are very close to the same age, if not already the same age within a few weeks anyhow. They will turn 11 in a couple of weeks :-)
DeleteCongratulations to Birdie. She must have been really excited to show.
ReplyDeleteAt least you were able to get out and enjoy the day with her.
Birdie likes to get out so much that she gets over excited about it. Sometimes she can be a challenge! But at least she likes going & all.
DeleteShe is so beautiful. I'd give her a first place every time cause she's so sweet.
ReplyDeleteOh, thank you!
DeleteCyn, she looks like she knows she is totally awesome, so pretty.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you were able to get out and enjoy what you love to do! Take it easy on the ankle but have fun too.
My downfall to the weekend was that I walked too much. Ouch. But yes, I did have to get out for awhile!
DeleteSounds like Birdie did well even if she didn't bring home the points. She looks so pretty in the pictures.
ReplyDeleteThanks. Hugs to Poppy!
DeleteYay! You got out for a fun outing. I remember how I used to love the goat shows. Birdie looks so pretty! She must be feeling spring in the air and its hard not to feel a little spunky, even for dog friends! Glad you had a good weekend!
ReplyDeleteBirdie is ALWAYS spunky!!! Yes, I'll bet the goat shows were quite similiar to the dog shows.
DeleteONLY a second place?!!! That clearly tells what you are used to your dogs winning. :)
ReplyDeleteUm...welll..... ;-)
Delete2nd place! well! the nerve ... Birdie looks so regal ... ;)
ReplyDeleteYea, the nerve of it all!!!
DeleteShe is a very beautiful dog.
ReplyDeleteThank you Merikay :-)
