New phone vs New motorhome

First of all, congrats to me!! If you put Coachmen Catalina Sport 220RK into googles search bar, I come up on the front page with My Motorhome Upgrades & Repairs Tab! Totally cool! Thanks to Kate who mentioned it to me via comments! Yay for me!

Hope all is well with everyone.

Soooo, the reason for tonight's post:

So which would be easier to choose?
A new phone or a new motorhome.
I'd say motorhome.
But....the phone is cheaper. in the heck do you choose!! AGGGH!!

I need to stick with Sprint (I don't pay the bill, someone else does <G>)
I want a droid based phone, with a sliding keyboard.

I hate typing on the screen keyboard on my current phone.

Found one, that fits the bill.

Downside is, the battery is sealed & you can't take it out if you ever need to do a hard reboot! Soooo....

And I want a big screen because I'm old & blind. No, blind. I don't want to be old yet.

Went to Best Buy, they have the phone at way less than Sprint does. But their phones are fake plastic things. You can't play with them.
So back to Sprint tomorrow to play with real phones...still plastic, but they work ;-)

I don't want an iphone. Yes, Sprint carries them now, but I want control of my own sim card that I can take out myself if I want to. :P``

I'm looking at the Motorola Photon Q 4G LTE. But the battery thing keeps worrying me. Dang. I like the big screen on some of the Samsung phones, but they are not sliders. Besides, the phone I have now is a Samsung & it's dying. And the voice command constantly comes on & calls people. Nice. Not.

Maybe I'll add a donate button & make enough money for a new motorhome instead. If that were to happen, then I'd just keep the phone I have & it could call anyone it wanted to. I wouldn't care. I'd be in my new motorhome exploring it instead.

Yea, right....dream on...

  1. Does appearing in a Google search make you some kind of celebrity or something?

  2. No idea on the phone issue - I use a $10 TracFone!! I know, dark ages, but all I want is something to make a phone call when I need to. Good luck in your search and hope you find just what you are looking for.

    1. Ah well Donna, technology. Sometimes life would be easier without it huh? But....

  3. I want a new toy to camp in too.

  4. You can remove the SIM card from an iPhone. Seems like the service guy and I did it at Radio Shack when I changed to an iPhone 4. Here's a link on how to do it: Have had my iPhone a couple of months and I absolutely love it! There are oodles of free apps for it, many of which are great tools for us RVers. Good luck with finding what works for you!

  5. What if you need/want BOTH phone and new RV :)
Folks will have to wait and see what and when I post on my blog to find out my choice(s).

Best wishes on your choice, just hope you find what you like.

  6. I knew you had alot of knowledge in repairs and such, but still ... I am impressed!
On the phones I am clueless, not much good in technical things. Maybe find the phone you want and then the rv?? I think you should have both ;-)

  7. One of the easiest ways to stop malicious free phonecalls is to identify the caller with a reverse phone lookup service. Many unsolicited calls you receive will show unlisted or blocked on your caller id. This gives the caller the power to harass and repeatedly call you even after you opt out of telemarketing calls and put yourself on do not call lists. being able to identify the caller puts the power back in your hands.
