Hope all is well with everyone.
Soooo, the reason for tonight's post:
So which would be easier to choose?
A new phone or a new motorhome.
I'd say motorhome.
But....the phone is cheaper.
But...how in the heck do you choose!! AGGGH!!
I need to stick with Sprint (I don't pay the bill, someone else does <G>)
I want a droid based phone, with a sliding keyboard.
I hate typing on the screen keyboard on my current phone.
Found one, that fits the bill.
Downside is, the battery is sealed & you can't take it out if you ever need to do a hard reboot! Soooo....
And I want a big screen because I'm old & blind. No, blind. I don't want to be old yet.
Went to Best Buy, they have the phone at way less than Sprint does. But their phones are fake plastic things. You can't play with them.
So back to Sprint tomorrow to play with real phones...still plastic, but they work ;-)
I don't want an iphone. Yes, Sprint carries them now, but I want control of my own sim card that I can take out myself if I want to. :P``
I'm looking at the Motorola Photon Q 4G LTE. But the battery thing keeps worrying me. Dang. I like the big screen on some of the Samsung phones, but they are not sliders. Besides, the phone I have now is a Samsung & it's dying. And the voice command constantly comes on & calls people. Nice. Not.
Maybe I'll add a donate button & make enough money for a new motorhome instead. If that were to happen, then I'd just keep the phone I have & it could call anyone it wanted to. I wouldn't care. I'd be in my new motorhome exploring it instead.
Yea, right....dream on...

Does appearing in a Google search make you some kind of celebrity or something?
ReplyDeleteHuh? I already am!! ;-)
DeleteNo idea on the phone issue - I use a $10 TracFone!! I know, dark ages, but all I want is something to make a phone call when I need to. Good luck in your search and hope you find just what you are looking for.
ReplyDeleteAh well Donna, technology. Sometimes life would be easier without it huh? But....
DeleteI want a new toy to camp in too.
ReplyDeleteYou can remove the SIM card from an iPhone. Seems like the service guy and I did it at Radio Shack when I changed to an iPhone 4. Here's a link on how to do it: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5163 Have had my iPhone a couple of months and I absolutely love it! There are oodles of free apps for it, many of which are great tools for us RVers. Good luck with finding what works for you!
ReplyDeleteWhat if you need/want BOTH ...new phone and new RV :)
ReplyDeleteFolks will have to wait and see what and when I post on my blog to find out my choice(s).
Best wishes on your choice, just hope you find what you like.
I knew you had alot of knowledge in repairs and such, but still ... I am impressed!
ReplyDeleteOn the phones I am clueless, not much good in technical things. Maybe find the phone you want and then the rv?? I think you should have both ;-)
