Sitting in a house..

I'm sitting in a house.

I'd much prefer to be sitting in my RV instead.

Or at least getting a chance to clean it!

But nope.

I'm stuck in a house.

My friends are out of town for 10 days.

Sooo, what does that mean?

It means I'm elected to take care of the house AND the animals.

AND sit inside while they have a crew of contractors rebuild a closet.

AND I have to stay in the  house till the crew leaves. Around 6 tonight.

Oh goodie, that's only 4 more hours AND I've been in here since 6am!

AND it's boring because it's not my house.
Mine has wheels - good wheels. AND a full tank of gas. AND it sits. :::sigh:::

I have a freaked out cat beside me, a Toy Fox Terrier in my lap that can take on those big bad men if needed AND a mixed breed dog that really WOULD take on those men if needed!

AND they have cable AND there's nothing of interest on.

Soooo, I'm watching The Housewives of Orange County AND they are all yelling at each other.

Oh bother, maybe they need a life!

But then, they get paid to be crazy. No one pays me to be crazy. They just accept it.

Otay, zat's all.

Guess I can read blogs to catch up. So there's a positive side!

August is going to be one looooooooooooong hoooooooooooooooot moooooooooooonth. Ugh.

Can't wait for the cooler weather...but that is not going to happen any time soon!

Have a great day everyone out there enjoying your RV's!!

I was going to add pics, but can't get a connection with my cell phone...ugh, just got dumped offline on the computer too!

  1. It sounds like you are having such a fun day house sitting. I do agree though, I have yet to find much of interest in the 100+ channels during the day. Hurry up 6 pm.

  2. Oh my. But hey, some times we do things for friends. Never know when you might need to park in their driveway, if they have such a thing that is.
    It could always be worse.
    Try and stay sane.

    1. Thanks. I'm just getting restless. Been tied up with a foot problem & being stuck with the docs & specialists here for the past 3 years, so I'm anxious to move on as soon as I can...

  3. If I'm looking forward to your foot healing so you can move on I can't imagine how much YOU must be looking forward to it.

    1. I am looking forward to it. But it will also mean BIG changes in my life as I don't plan on coming back. I am grateful for their generosity, but I'm also still very tired from the meds & such I take. So I get a little grumpy sometimes & put it in writing...

  4. Heya Cyn, hang in there. I know what you mean about cable TV, 100+ channels and absolutely nothing worth watching. What's up with that, anyway? Well, I bet it won't be long before you're pointing Ellie out onto the highway and cruising away somewhere. Yay! Chin up, woman!

  5. Oh I know how you feel. Sitting in someone else's house/home is NO fun. You just feel like a hair out of place. I wish for the time to go by quickly for you. I agree cable is a big waste of money we don't miss it at all!!!
