life

Life can change so instantly.

Another friend in the hospital in ICU.

Seems it never stops.

I've lost 3 good friends in recent months.

I feel it's a lesson for us all to get out there. Follow our dreams. Grasp life by the horns and LIVE!

I had another doctors appointment the other day. Although my situation is not at all life threatening, I am so ready to be done with it all so I can move on with life. But my foot is still weak, so they want another round of therapy. Will be interesting to see if it will be accepted or denied since I'm federal! Our crazy world is falling apart at the seams.
Betsy Ross could not sew this one up, but let's hope someone can soon!!

Anyhow, my point is, for those of you that are just existing like myself), get out there and live life! Weather will be better here soon, so I'm at least hoping to work in some camping time.

I hope all is well with every one.

I have Ewoks. Will share them when I get access to my computer again.

I did not need Ewoks, but they found me! Oh well...such is life.

  1. So sorry about your friend. We are definitely (at least Jim and I are) at the age when our friends and we are all starting to have health issues of some kind. We lost three dear friends this last year all very suddenly. So you hit the nail on the head - we need to live life and enjoy the time we have with those we love. Stupid foot - stupid government.

  2. Sorry to hear about your friends and you are right about this lesson. It's one we need to absorb. Take every day and every opportunity to be truly present even if we can't be out on the road, wherever we are. I wish you good health and a full recovery!

  3. My husband and I are trying to retire early. We'll see if it can happen. And, it's all for the reasons you've listed above. We want to live life to the fullest while we are still able.

  4. I'm so sorry about your friends - and your foot. I hope this next round of PT will get you back to normal so you can get on with your life.

I'm sure your insurance will still be working. That's something they can't just stop. People would DIE, and that wouldn't be good for them in the next election, now, would it? :)

  6. I too have lost some friends this year. Yes we need to live life now!
I hope they allow your next round of therapy. Camping weather here in the South is just getting underway, lets go

  7. Sorry to hear about your friends and I agree, we need to get out there! I wish we were in a financial situation where we could. As for your insurance, if your insurance company was modifying or dropping you they have to tell you now because the change date is in March of 2014 so they legally have to tell you now.

  8. I guess thats why I have been so eager to get on the road. I wish our house would sell, because then we would not have to worry about money for a long time. If the value of the dollar doesn't totally crash!

I'm glad we have been able to take some nice long trips this year. This one is coming to an end and we will be back in the driveway for a while.

Our health remains good, but somedays the relationship needs work!

  9. I'm so very sorry about your friend and the losses you have experienced recently. {{Hugs}} Life is indeed short, and that is one of the reasons we are living the full-timing lifestyle NOW instead of waiting until retirement age, whatever that elusive number is these days. On a lighter note, I'm in the process of putting out a new public blog at http://lifeisguid2013.blogspot.com. Hope your foot gets better pronto so you can gleefully be cruising down the road again!
