Decisions...descions...sedsinons...

Yea, can't type that one three times!! 8-)

I hope everyone is having a great day!

I'm still in limbo on what to do. I am leaning towards keeping my RV & buying a small closed in cargo trailer to tow behind. Part of my problem is, the RV is not big enough. It's not even big enough to hold a simple vacuum cleaner anywhere, except the bathtub! I have a cargo carrier on the back of the rig, that holds my dogs expens, a grooming crate & 2 plastic bins. One of the bins holds clean dog blankets & at the bottom, holds a bbq grill that is in it's own canvas cover. The other bin is empty. I use it for soiled dog blankets when I travel, if someone soils a blanket or just needs a fresh one. As ya'll know, I never actually planned on living in my rig, but found myself living in it after a hurricane damaged my house too badly for me to live in...that's another story, but the reason I moved into my RV in the year of 2008.

It was fine for awhile, I was AM GRATEFUL to have it, grateful that it's totally paid for, grateful that it gives me a place to lay my head at night. A safe place until the damages occurred to it in Nov 2011. For now, I sleep on the sofa with an airbed on that. Which is fine, but I have to set it up each night & take it down each morning. Anyhow, getting back to my dilemma. Until those damages heaved themselves upon me, I was considering trading or selling my RV in for a bigger one. Now it's probably going to cost a lot to have the overhead cab totally rebuilt. But if I sell it as is, then I will lose too much on any resale value, thus, that will suck into revenue for another RV. I want to own the next one outright as well. I haven't worked since my accident in 2010. I am getting better & have plans for my future once I can get totally back on my feet again. I was caught in a bunch of red tape so-to-speak. The docs didnt' want me working as they said walking or standing too much would not be good for me. Sitting too much also irritates me. But soon, that will all be behind me. I've received some compensation, but when one finds themselves in a medical hurricane, that's not fun either!

Sooo, I think my decision is to get the RV fixed & continue living in it till I can work & save money towards a bigger rig. And just get a cargo carrier that can hold my extra things, like the expens, extra dog supplies, my cleaning supplies, jewelry making supplies, etc.   I've yet to have a chance to take the RV out for more estimates though. Thought I could do that on Friday...nope, rain will be heading our way again on Friday. It rained today, will rain tomorrow & maybe Thursday. Now that I have the funds to get it fixed, it won't quit raining long enough for me to get it fixed! Life is strange huh? From drought to rain, rain, rain. But only rain on the only days I can find to take the motorhome in!

My current set up. I also have a bike carrier that attaches to my ladder in which to carry my bicycle.

A photo of a cargo trailer that I borrowed from the web. This one already sold when I called about it. But time is on my side as far as finding another one. I want to find a used one as opposed to buying a new one at a much higher cost!

I hope to go onto Pa to visit with my family for the summer. I want to leave in April. The doc ordered more therapy for me though, which is fine. I can work on getting stronger & by the time therapy is done, then the months will be better for my leaving weather wise anyhow.

Good news is, I am getting stronger! I hope to see lots of hiking in my future too. Lots of dog walking along the way to Pa. Some exploring along the way there, stopping at state parks for a few nights at a time.

Rain clouds from window view of docs office. The street that you can see that runs along side of the building floods when it rains a lot. Fortunately today was just spurts of rains here & there instead of our usual torrential rains. Samsung cell phone photo.

So what do you do when sitting, waiting, tapping your feet in the docs office while waiting? You take pics of course! Samsung Cell phone pic.

We be bloomin'

The other night, I took this photo. But I didn't have the settings set right on the camera, so it didn't turn out very well. But I wonder what the little dot are in the photo? I found them rather odd. Bugs? I think I used the flash, so it probably hightlighted bugs.

The clouds looked so interesting that night, too bad I didn't have the camera set right.

It's January, right? Well that's almost over, but still, we be bloomin' all over the place here now!
Today was sooo gorgeous. Cool, yet gorgeous. Folks bike riding everywhere, families on bikes. Families on walks. They all seemed to be out together today as I cut through the neighborhoods to run my errands instead of running on the main drag where the traffic is heaviest. Green grasses everywhere, flowers blooming everywhere - just a beautiful day!

This tree is in my friends' yard. I don't know what the tree is, but the little white flowers are so pretty. I think white flowers are about my favorite color of flower. When I had my house, I did one flower bed in white one year. It was so neat at night to go out & visit the pretty white flowers.

The blooming tree.

And I had an assistant while working:

This Ihop. He gained his name after being found at an Ihop restarauant, unfortunately, hit by a car. He was taken to a vet, vetted & had an artifical hip inplanted due to the accident. He was then adopted by my friends when the lady that saved him could no longer care for him. He's a pretty cool cat.

These flowers are Virignia Creeper. Rather pretty huh?

I hope everyone has had a wonderful day today! Keep livin' the good life!!

They followed me!!

Help! They followed me home!!

Secretly, I had to pay each one $1.00 at the 99 cent store to follow me though....I wonder if I should start tallying up how many pennies I've donated to the 99 cent store that actually costs a dollar? I seem to find myself there enough! hmmmm...Anyhow, these cutie pies followed me home!

Yes they did.

They jumped in my cart.

They jumped onto the sales counter.

They jumped into a bag.

They jumped into the van.

They jumped out of the van when I got back to the RV.

One actually even jumped into a new flower pot.

That one jumped onto my kitchen counter.

Really.

It did.

The African Violets welcomed it too. They said they might even start to bloom for their new buddy soon!

They talk.

The little trivet here was a gift from a client from way back when I had my grooming shop. Miss Jahn & her little poodle Pumpkin. Isn't it funny how some things you hang onto, how  they gain more meaning in time? It states "Home is where you hang your heart". Well Ellie sure is that!

The other two bloomin' succulents are still outside wondering why I've sat them out there without new pots. But they don't realize I have to find a space for them. I may put them in nice pots, leave them outside & let them travel with me inside when Ellies wheels actually find themselves rotating on the ground. Ellie has to go to the dump station soon just for some exercise! She gets too content to just sit around in this driveway...

WARNING WILL RODGERS!

THIS FOLLOWED ME HOME TOO!!!

THIS SHOULD NEVER HAVE HAPPENED!

THIS IS VERY NAUGHTY!

THIS CAN CAUSE ME TO HAVE TO GO SHOPPING FOR A NEW WARDROBE.

A bigger one....

Bigger size that is....

Really....

Wonder what the heck I'm rambling on about??

Dare to look?

OK, but be warned.

It's frightening!

Ready?

Yea that's right. Box is already half empty...yes, half empty. Not half full.

HALP!!!

~As always, be kind to your pets, clean up after them on your travels & respect your neighbor~
No whoppers for them though...they are mine, allll mine! And my hips. :-/

unclogging the RV sink

We had a storm roll through this morning, but it was not as bad as the hail storm from a few weeks ago. We got a little hail with today's storm, but still not nearly as bad! But I do have a leak around my big picture window. I thought it was because I probably needed to add fresh glazing bead, & that still could be it. (the fat stuff, I replaced the skinny stuff & it doesn't leak there) I'll have to ask when I get my RV in to a few folks to look at it. The only thing I noticed was that water was pooling on the frame, so got a towel there before it dripped down the wall. And for whatever reason, the plastic is still holding!! Thanks plastic gods for looking out for that! At 2:30am, the winds blew through, loud & strong! Woke me up, then I could not go back to sleep. Rock-a-bye-baby doesn't work for me!! My antenna was rocking around on the roof, so I cranked it down. I went outside to inspect anything that could fly into the RV or if everything on the RV itself was secure. I secured the clips on the vent opening to the kitchen from the outside. No more flapping from it. I need to replace the antenna handle, the last time I did it, I glued it on! Um, might not have been the smartest move because now I have to break it off. The handle part broke in half & now there's just a stub to deal with. I have to use garden gloves on my hands to twist....er, turn it.
I've decided to fight the insurance company. Last weekend, several RV folks thought that it should be covered. I have a statement from Camping World that the problems are due to damages of road debris that I got hit by. I want to get at least two more statements if possible to make the case stronger. Now getting the RV to a couple of other people has been a challenge for me because of time or weather.
I also got my vacuum sweeper out & sat it on the floor. So far, it's not done a thing! Isn't that how it's supposed to work? You sit it there & it goes to work? Maybe if I plug it in, then it will go to work? Maybe that's the problem? Yes, that must be it!

Oh yea, the post was supposed to be about unclogging the sink. Mine isn't clogged, but I read on someone's blog (Tioga George   http://blog.vagabonders-supreme.net/) how to unclog your drain. His was clogged. But in reading it, it was also suggested you do a baking soda/vinegar thing once monthly. My gray tank doesn't drain as quickly as it used to, so I think I'll try the baking soda method in hopes of helping to clear the system. I'm guessing that I should drain the tank first, then try? What do ya'll think?  Here's how you're supposed to do this:

Cool RV fixit website

I'm still pathetically behind. Not sure I'll ever get caught up! But I came across this site a short while ago as I'm looking at ClassC overhead rebuilds. Just doing my homework & looking at what will need to be done to mine.

This site covers a number of issues to leaks, repairs, how to look at used RV's, how to build your own bike carrier, etc. Looks like a pretty cool site, so I bookmarked it & thought it was interesting enough to share with anyone that is interested. Bookmark it for future use!

http://www.trails.com/water-damage.html

And of course, if ya'll have great sites, please share them here as well.

I just cleaned up my cute little kitchen & will be heading out the door soon for more therapy. Spent the weekend at a dog show, but neglected to take my camera along. I should have so I could have shared some pics with ya'll. I didn't enter or show any dogs. I still can't run, but it was nice to get out & hang out with old dog show friends. :-)  I am hoping to be able to show at a show in March. Birdie needs to get back out in that big ring! And so do I...

Also, I'm still having blogger issues. I hope this resolves soon!

Have a great day everyone!!

Blogs, comments...still having issues

I still can't open some blogs. Still can't comment on others. This is a drag. Soooo, if you think you are being ignored by me, it's not the case. Pages just start to load, then turn blank. Boo! Bad Blogger!! Plus I'm still horribly behind! I hope the blogger issues resolve soon...again, this is a drag! And because of this, I guess I'll get to work on grooming dogs sooner than later. Have two Afghan Hounds & a Borzoi to groom today. Oh well. At least I get paid for that...

I hope ya'll have a wonderful day!!!

Time? Where did you go?

Welcome to Dragonfly! Sorry I've not welcomed you sooner, life has been a bit crazy for me lately.
Here is Dragonfly's url  http://littlesanitee.blogspot.com/  actually,  there's two blogs, but this one is of the cute adorable little vintage '61 Shasta TT. Sooo cute! I am looking forward to visiting your site more!

I AM STILL HERE if anyone is wondering!!! I swear, each day, I just seem to be losing more & more time. I desperately need my solo time. Seems with daily chores, therapy & back to more chores leaves such little time. I really need some time to myself. Some time to make another trip down to the bay. But I'll just have to be patient instead since Ellie (my little motorhome) can't travel right now due to risking her structure. Bummer. I haven't even had time to take her anywhere else for another estimate!

Here is where I'd like to be spending the week, down by the bay. Sleeping with a window opened, listening to the water as I go to sleep at night & awake each morning. After I get Ellie fixed, I plan on taking a trip down to the bay, then down to Corpus Christi & back. But I am wishing I were there now...at least I have the pics from my last trip to dream over.

A beautiful sunflower

The adorable wild little quaker parrots

The seabirds

Parking at the Spillway Park in San Leon. You can not camp here, but it's a lovely place to pull over to relax at. Prepare lunch in your RV & enjoy the atmosphere. Take a walk or go fishing if you prefer. Park opens in the morning & closes at dusk.

Therapy is going well. It's still going to be quite some time before I'm fully myself again, but I do think the surgery was a success. 8 weeks in the boot has also weakend my ankle to some degree, but now that it's off, I'm trying to abide by the program to get stronger. I do have pain, but for the most part, it's just mostly discomfort. Tomorrow, I have a muscle test scheduled to determine on what level of therapy I can move onto. I'm just happy to be out of that boot & into tennis shoes again!

It's late, I must shut down & go to sleep now. Weather has been beautiful. Today, sunny & in the 60's. In the 50's tonight, but it gets cold in the RV, so I have the electric heater going & I'm sitting here, laptop on lap, electric blanket keeping me nice & toasty.

Tomorrow, another really busy day. Afghan Hound grooming again. And one Borzoi. The Afghans are a lot of work as they both are in full coat. IF I remember, I'll try to get some pics of them.

I hope all is well with everyone here. Hopefully, I'll get caught up soon! I miss ya'll terribly! Haven't even had much time to read blogs & I don't think I've read ANY in about 2 days now. And what I have read has been very sparse due to the lack of time...

Either I'm blank or blogger is..I'm bugged

It's been really busy again lately, but I have an issue. I thought I could take this morning, sit down & get caught up on blogs. It seems I can't do that! Almost everyone's page I click on, the pages start to load, then go blank! All white. Nothing. Either ya'll have become ghosts or I've become blind & can only see white, or it's my computer or it's blogger???  It doesn't happen with any webpages or anything else though. Anyone else ever have this issue? I want to read blogs! You hear me blog god??!!! Of course, I can't comment on what I can't see either...unless ya'll have become ghosts too? ::sigh::

Fun with Adobe photo Deluxe...an old photo program that I still use. One day, someone said they had a dream about a brindle possum, so I made one.

One day, one of my dogs ate a locust. I saw him grab it, I saw him running around the yard with it buzzing in his mouth. Then he swallowed it. That was odd & kind of freaky. Then this happened the next day. Beware!!!! Be warned! This too can happen to your dogs!!!

Fortunately, the locust syndrome wore off (actually, it's a ciciadia or however you spell it). But then, one day he ate a Cockatiel....

His name is Bandera, his nick name is Bad Dawg. We don't call him Bad Dawg for nuthin'

Oh, I forgot! One day, he also ate a human when he was a baby puppy!!! I probably should not have shared this one. It might get him a life's sentence..

OK, this photo kind of give me the creeps. A friend of a friend did this one...thank Goodness I wasn't me this time!

Another beautiful day here today! Which is great!! 2 days ago, it got soooo windy that Ellie's rain cap mostly stayed suspended in the air above her. I have no idea why it's staying on there. There truly are rain bonnet gods!!!

~As always, be kind to your pets, clean up after them on your travels & respect your neighbor~
But don't tell mine I'm making fun of them again...

I'm freeeeeeeeee ~~ But those gas tanks are NOT!

Yay, I'm freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!! Yay!! I do not have to wear this thing anymore!
I am soooo glad to be out of this thing now! My orthodics haven't come in yet, but I told the doc that I could wear my old ones till the new ones come in & he said that would be fine. Whew! I'll get my hip adjusted again tomorrow & then hopefully, each day will get better & my wankle will get stronger & stronger. Maybe Incredible Hulk strong! (or not)
Next week another muscle test & I'm still in therapy 3x's a week. I think soon, this will all be behind me. I hope they'll let me start on the treadmill soon too. I think walking will help along with the other therapy exercises. But I've been good & not doing things against their orders.

Now to the gas issue. I always use a specific gas station that is on my way to therapy. I'm driving a big cargo type of van right now, so it sucks gas like a thirsty elephant. Today, I pull up to that station, put my card in, get approval for filling, start to push the button for the grade I want & what?? It' snot $3.11 like their sign said stated (signs usually don't actually talk)? Huh? I look at the sign again. Dammit, they changed their system. It's $3.11 IF YOU PAY CASH ONLY!! The debit/credit card price is $3.22. So I put the nozzle back in the gas stations tank, cancel it & drive away! Humpf! They were NOT like that last week! I don't carry cash!!
There's another gas station on that route I used to buy my gas at & stopped buying there too because of that! I drove away from them in the same manner too. I refuse to play that game with them. They will be losing any future money from me. I am boycotting stations that do this. I don't think it's fair to penalize or reward folks that pay by cash or debit. I realize that they have to pay charges on credit cards, but it's not that much to raise the prices to that degree! I personally think it's a scam for more profit in someone's pocket.
I found another station that happily took my debit card for gas at the cost of $3.13 per gallon, so there you stinkee stations. Take that. Their gain, your loss.
Heh heh heh

I don't usually use graphics I find on the net, but I'm too lazy tonight to get the camera out. :-P

Bang! Pop! Bang! Pop Pop..POP!

Those were the sounds of the morning. POP! BANG! POP! Yep, that's what woke me up this morning - Hail! A hail storm! And it lasted for quite awhile too. Thunder, lightning, rain, tornados & hail! And of course, the rocking that RV's do with the wind. Wild morning - yay, it's like going to the state fair! yay! ok, really? Ok, not yay. BUT yes, there IS a YAY & a YIPEE!!! Why? Because for whatever reason, the plastic stayed on the RV & no rain got in! so YAY! Of course, what was the first thing I did when I noticed the noise? Well the same thing anyone with a blog would do, I hunted for my video camera! And I took footage, even footage of the news. It rained sooo hard that water came into the RV. But NOT where the plastic is! It came where I'd least expect it to. It came in through the vent, yes, the covered vent that the kitchen vent hood blows out of. Yes, it does rain from the ground up if you must ask??(?) Obviously it does. My vent said so. So my favorite picture of Zeus (one of my saluki kids) got soaked! Boo, bad water! Actually, it was dripping off the mini blinds. Had I not noticed that, then the water may have sat around all day, all night...another all day? Who knows? Another leak, my big picture window by the sofa. I think I do need to change out the fat glazing bead as the kitchen window leaks around the fat stuff too. At least that's just two windows to address. The part where I redid the skinny glazing bead all is doing good. (yes, they are skinny & fat because I said so). After the hail subsided, my friend Judy went outside to clear the ditches & to assess the area. Their side yard flooded, down to their studio building. She went into the building & said there was a little water on the floor, but it wasn't bad. It didn't reach where I have my foam stored for now for the big overhead cushions - thank goodness!!! And the RV gods did look out for me today because they held that plastic down for me! Yay! I was certain it would be gone with the wind...but I'm afraid that could not have happened because I would not have been able to say "Frankly My Dear, I Don't Give A Damn". Oh yes, surely some bad words would have been said, but not that phrase! I won't say here what my words probably would have been or blogger would can me...for life. Really.
There was a tornado a mile down the road from us. That was probably about the time the RV was a'rockin'.  Wheeee, we're rockin'! <nervous grin>  Then I found out this evening that there was another tornado to the other mile to the right of me. The other one was to the left of me. Mr left Tornado lifted someone's paddle boat & shoved it nicely into a tall tree. Channel 2 news was there when we drove by it when we went out to run errands this afternoon. So no one told Mr right Tornado that Christmas is over & that paddle boats are NOT really ornaments! Mr right Tornado made a lady get all scared. She grabbed her dog & sat in her bath tub with it. She said her doors inside of her house were all creeking & making noises. That would be scary, but when done, no harm done to her or her little dog. But there was another Tornado by hwy 6 that did damages to a few homes. Fortunately, our tornados are more rare & aren't huge like midwest tornados are! But it still would scare me if one crossed my path! Or wiped out my path....yikes! Hurricanes, I know when they are coming. I can prepare. Tornados & fires, no warning, no time to react & prepare. So anyhow, after I've just bored ya'll to tears, or a long nap, here are two photos of the flooded side yard, which did recede well later in the day.
And here are two videos. During & then the aftermath. I sure AM GLAD that the plastic gods were here for me & kept that plastic down! Whew!!!

Now I can't put Feather out in the kennel because if she peed in it, wouldn't that like peeing in a pool?

This video below is what it's like inside of the RV during such a storm. Take note of the plastic! Yay!

This is the outside area awhile after the storm.

I'm very, very, very, very, very grateful that Ellie, the RV is ok after her bath by nature. Actually, she's wearing a bit of nature now due to the bath...pine needles anyone? Can't they be used for some kind of craft? No? Oh well, ok, Ellie will proudly wear them then. (Don't tell her Christmas is over, in fact, she's still wearing her inside decs).

Just saw something funny in a movie on tv. A silly comedy with Jamie Lee Curtis. She mentioned to one of the characters something about that character's...um, character about her marrying her own brother. That character said "But he's not my brother. I mean, he was, but he's not now. He's my husband!" teehee, struck me funny.

Black Cloud - go away!

OK as I mentioned yesterday, I put heavy duty plastic over my overhead front area. I asked for opinions on what I should do & I truly appreciate the advice that was given me. One of my fears of using a strong kind of bonding tape is that it could potentially tear the rubber roof. Actually, I was afraid that duct tape could do that too, until I discovered it did not want to stick well! Plus I was not able to go out this morning to try to find anything stronger than duct tape. But I decided that maybe it would be a good idea to get my roof cleaner, fresh tape, a spray bottle of water to clean the roof cleaner off with, a roll of paper towels & a towel to clean up the rubber roof along the tape line with. It was dark when I secured it last night, so I did not get a chance to properly clean that area of the rubber roof. Sooo, I have my supplies together, I go out to the dog yard & put my dogs back in the inside kennel. Then before I got back outside, as I was ON the way outside, the skies broke loose!!! ARGH!! It rained enough to saturate everything, but I AM happy to say that the plastic did the job. Sun is out now, so I'm hoping the roof will dry long enough for me to make another attempt at getting back up there. If I were an American Indian, I'm pretty sure my name would be Black Cloud! Now I want to know how to send Murphy with his naughty law & his black cloud out of my life! Thank goodness for the heavy 4mil plastic sheeting. I'm also glad I bought two sheets at the store as I needed both of them. Almost bought one big sheet, but wasn't sure about the size, so opted to get two smaller ones instead & that seems to be working ok. At least they aren't dark & depressing like a dark tarp might be.

So here are some photos that I took a short while ago: Click on any photos for larger images.

Ellie likes her cab windows covered with the bonnet, although you really can't see that well in the photo. She also likes to wear her slippers when she's parked. (but not when she's driving!)

A new leak discovered. This is one of my kitchen windows. I think the glazing bead needs replaced. I replaced all the slimmer glazing beading a few months back, but not the fatter size. So as a temporary measure, I just taped my white duct tape along the bottom of the window. I'll ask the repairman if the glazing bead needs replaced or if I need to do anything else when I take it over for an estimate on the overhead cab repairs. I caulked around all the windows & the frame of the RV last spring, but this water was going in under the glass where the window opens up. You can see where the rain water drips above on the black rim, right onto the glass. Always something!! I keep telling myself it's still cheaper than a house.....right???

Uh oh...now it's getting windy======I give up!!

Yikes, potential rain!

It's so nice to be by myself for a change. Of course, I'm still dog sitting, but I spent the day out in the RV for the most part. Warm & sunny day. Unbelievable day in fact! I even had my entry door open with the screen door closed, it was that nice! T'shirt & jeans kinda day. Loved it! Hey Russ, here's the sun I promised you the other day! It just took me a few days to get around to taking a picture.

And here is last night's moon shot. I took some others with the clouds around the moon, but since I wasn't using a tripod, they are no good. I'm surprised this one turned out.

So what did I do with my day other than take care of dogs? I made bracelets! I've finally had the time to make a few! They still need a little finishing up, but I have to go get some supplies to finish them with.

This one I made man sized. I've not done any mens yet till now, but then, these are all the first bracelets I've had time to actually sit down & do.

Then I thought I'd better check the weather after I put everything up. It was so beautiful today that I expected it to stay this way through the weekend. Was told it was to rain on Monday. Well, I'm glad I checked because weather report said rain late tonight & thunder storms tomorrow! Oh yikes! Not good for my overhead cab! So I rushed off to WalMart to buy a tarp. The one I have isn't big enough. Well, they only had 2 sizes, small & humungous! Oh that won't do, plus the huge one was rather expensive. So I went to the paint dept & bought the thick mil type of plastic sheeting & more duct tape. Guess what? Duct tape doesn't stick well to rubber roofs. :-(   Houston, we have a problem. And I had to get on the roof twice because I had no help & had one of the sheets turned the wrong way. Oy! That's a Texas Oy ya'll. I had no choice but to try to tape it to the roof anyhow. Wish me luck that we don't get winds. If we do, then I'm pretty sure it'll just simply blow off! This is not fun....in fact, it sucks. I called an RV place today that advertised that they did fix-it work, but I guess they were closed. The phone rang for awhile, then I got an answering machine. So I'll call again on Monday. This sucks. I guess I'd better go grab my trusty little shop vac out of the back of my van before the evening is over.

Have a good evening & enjoy those games if you watch them!

Life...trade or fix the RV?

I've not had much time to do much of anything lately. Life gets in the way. And it's not the good life either, it's just life. Although I should be grateful for my health & that I'm still fairly young & healthy!
It seems lately I've been stuck. I've been going to therapy 3x's a week, it's helping. I still have good days & bad days with the foot, but I know the future of my foot will be good again! I've had obligations of taking care of things around here, which I don't mind, but I've had no real self time lately. I need self time. I'm one of those people that loves to be alone by themself. Fortunately, I am getting that this weekend, but I am also dog sitting multiple dogs this weekend. I don't mind them though. They don't ask me to go run errands for them. They all just want their few moments of attention & I can give that!

But I'm tired of living on someone's driveway now. I'm really looking forward to the day that I'm medically released with my foot. I have plans on taking myself, my dogs & kitties on up to Pa for the spring/summer season. My family is up there & I really need them in my life now. I do not want to live there, I do not do cold! I do not do winter. I do not do ice & snow! But I can do the spring & summer season! I am torn on my RV though. I'm sick over the recent damages it incurred & the insurance company is denying the claim. Right now, I don't have the mental energy to take on this fight. I was going to take it to an individual today that fixes RV's on his own rather than a big RV source that can fix it. But it was supposed to rain, so I nixed that idea. Now it's not raining, but I don't have the funds yet to fix it yet anyhow, so I'll tarp the cab area & wait till the funds come in that I'm waiting on from another source. Then I'll take the RV over to him for an estimate. I just hope it won't be too terribly expensive as I had orginally planned on sitting on the money that is coming to me for future needs. I started to look at other RV's in thoughts of selling mine & upgrading into a bigger unit.
But I just feel if it's affordable, to get mine fixed first. Everything on my RV works. I keep up with it & upgrade things as they are needed. Last year, I bought a new RV fridge & had an RV place install it. I bought a new converter & installed that myself. Bought a new ladder & had it installed. I recaulked the entire rig last spring. Including around the windows. I even reglazed the windows! Changed out the back clearance lights, etc. Year before last, I had new tires put on it. I keep it clean, I even shampoo my own carpeting in here. Lately, I've read so many blogs with folks that are having issues with this & that not working on their rigs, that it kind of scares me to sell mine! Like I said, everything works on mine. I just need to do a few cosmetic things to it to make it look better. Like strip off the old faded, cracked decals. Downside is, it's a small rig. No slides. With me & the animals, it will get crowded once they are all moved back in from the kennel. But I hate that they are having to stay in the kennel in the first place. They belong out here with me! Which is why I was thinking about upgrading into a bigger RV. As I've mentioned before, I originally bought my RV for hurricane evacuations & dog shows. I never intended to live in it or I would have bought a larger one to begin with. I don't mind living in an RV, in fact, I quite like it. I'm stuck. I don't know what do to? Get the RV fixed & live in it longer till I can go up to Pa, work & save more money towards a bigger rig, then sell or trade it in? I'd go for an even trade if I could find one. But then, am I going into a risk of having to fix items on another rig that all have been done on mine? Mine is paid for & I do not want to owe anything on another rig. An even trade or a little cash towards a bigger RV would still work for me if the repairs don't absorb the total amount of what I have coming. I don't know....generally, I'd keep something like this to myself till I figured it all out. But I'm perplexed over what I should do...

I've been trying to catch up on my blogs that I read, but am terribly behind on that as well. I've not gotten much computer time lately due to other commitments. So I'm glad to have the weekend to myself! This morning has been spent on catching up on what I can. I'm off to the store now because I need a serious fix of jalapeno potato chips & will come back & veg out with a movie. I hope everyone is doing well & are having a great life!

!!!HAPPY NEW YEAR Ya'll!!!
Happy New Year Everyone -- Here's wishing ya'll the best year in your life yet!!!

Welcome to Donna C - I don't see a blog on you, so if you have one, share it & I'll put it up here. Glad to have you along!

Another new year has fallen upon us. Temperatures are great this evening, those that went downtown Houston to celebrate the events had great weather to accomodate them! I of course, spent the evening in the RV with the TV on watching the events. I would like to see that laser show in person one year though! Although it was still nice to sit in the RV, listening to the parties going on around the neighborhood here, taking peeks at their fireworks around me. Tried to video some of those, but I didn't have the camera's settings set right, so they are all blurs. But I did sit here & tape the event on the TV, which was fun watch. So I'll share that with those of you that like to watch vids. If not, that's ok too. They are both a little long. The first one is an art car parade, which I think would also be fun to see in person. I'm pretty sure that I could fill my digital camera's memory card up with all this stuff.
;-)  The 2nd vid is Houston bringing in the new year with a laser show!

Enjoy the vids if you wish. My wish to you is to have the best new year ever! To a good life, love, good health & happiness, & dreams fulfilled! Cheers!

OK, so enjoy the art car parade because I've been trying for hours to upload the 2nd vid & I keep getting errors.

Since Feather is the only one in the RV with me currently, she got the New Years Kisses from me. ;-)
